At My Sports Chiropractor Kingsgrove, we take our time to accurately diagnose your condition to ensure that we treat the cause of your problem.
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic care is about getting your body to move well, reduce pain and keep you active. Chiropractic is not solely the treatment of a condition; it is one of the many tools our chiropractors use to find and reduce stress or pressure on the musculoskeletal system, particularly our nervous system. Stress on your nervous system will affect how well your joints and muscles move and therefore your ability to move and stay active.
Is Chiropractic suitable for me ?
Our chiropractors must undergo extensive university training for five years minimum and are well trained to diagnose and manage disorders of the musculoskeletal system in a safe, ethical and effective manner. At My Sports Chiropractor Kingsgrove, we take our time to accurately diagnose your condition to ensure that we treat the cause of your problem. Our one on one chiropractic treatment assures you that we are fully focused on you and your individual needs.
We will strive to ensure we meet all your expectations however if chiropractic care is not suitable for your condition, our chiropractors will refer you to the appropriate health care providers and assist in co-management.
What will treatment involve and what will I feel ?
Any visits following your initial treatment may take approximately 20 minutes and our evidence backed treatment procedures will typically include but are not limited to, chiropractic manipulations or adjustments, deep tissue muscle releases, joint mobilisations, dry needling, corrective exercises and more.
The “adjustment” is one tool used by our qualified chiropractors to directly effect the joints and nerves of the body. They involve a short, high velocity thrust in a precise direction to a joint that is not moving or functioning incorrectly. The aim of this is to reduce any pressure on your nerves, joints, and muscles allowing you to experience:
- Less pain
- Reduced muscle tightness and tension
- Improved joint range of motion
- Enhanced sports performance through our rehabilitation programs.
