10km for $10k Charity Run

At My Sports Chiropractor, two of our big values are generosity and community. Our aim is to engage with out community, purposefully and frequently. Each year we associate ourselves with a charity where we have the opportunity to give back to our local community for the support that they have shown us.
For 2023, we decided to do something different to our usual charity drives. We teamed up with the Children’s Cancer Institute and together with our team and patients, we decided to run 10km of the Sydney Marathon with the goal of raising $10,000.
Sixty years ago, cancer was nearly always a death sentence for a child. Now eight out of 10 children survive. What made that huge difference? Medical research.
Not only did we reach our target, we exceeded all of our expectations and raised $14,065, thanks to our amazing team, our local business partners and importantly our incredibly generous patients and families.
Children’s Cancer Institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to curing childhood cancer and due to their work, today 8 out of 10 children will survive. But there is still much work to be done!
